Ilasiea Gray has been performing and studying acting since a young age. A recent graduate of the University of Colorado, making the Dean’s List, Ilasiea earned a BFA in Theatre, Film, and Television and a minor in Political Science. After graduating she wasted no time and scored her most recent role as “Daughter,” the lead in Afterthought Theatre Co.’s production of “Shakin The Mess Outta Misery.” Other notable roles include her renowned 2Pac impersonation, the cracked out White Rabbit in “Alice in HarlemLand,” and Julia Budder in “It’s Only A Play.” Ilasiea is a versatile performer with an array of tools in her tool box. Aside from theatre, film, and commercial acting, she has experience in other facets of these industries. Currently working in casting (Sylvia Gregory Casting) with credit on a feature film among other projects, she also has done costume construction, directing, editing, producing, and stage managing to name a few. Writing is a passion of hers and she was fortunate to get an original piece she wrote into a working production, elevating her status to a published writer. Though Ilasiea’s ultimate goal is to move to L.A. or New York to continue on her path to a successful acting career and commercial print career, she plans to always keep working in some area of the industry. In addition to acting and the entertainment business, there are many other successes Ilasiea would like to accomplish. Working with kids with such things as Big Brothers Big Sisters is something she takes pride in. Her last scholarship work involved creating a hip-hop dance drama with 150 6th graders and another involving 30 5th graders. To go with her minor in PoliSci, government work is another interest and after studying abroad in Paris, she is eager for more travelling around the world. Working in international affairs, intelligence, or law are on her list of career paths. |
